Dec TNG Report
Congrats to bluenose62 of Birmingham, chip leader most of the way through our December tourney – and its eventual, emphatic winner.
In a field thinned by Christmas parties and there’s-a-lot-of-it-about – gastric flu prevented even our resident whiz-kid Oliver Chubb from playing in his own eponymous tournament –there was high percentage of American starters, not to mention a German or three.

Nov TNG Report
On Tuesday I had the pleasure of sitting at Tony Holden’s shoulder and sharing a bottle of Merlot as he played in Bigger Deal’s monthly Tuesday Night game. Trying to play decent poker while keeping notes for the blog and one eye on Dani Behr prancing around a jungle in her bikini was certainly a [...]

TNG – Tues 18th Nov
This month we celebrate our New York correspondent, Peter Alson, in the password for our Tuesday Night Game. If he has finally recovered from celebrating the election of poker-playing Barack Obama – see my piece for Tina Brown’s TheDailyBeast.com – Pete will be joining in himself from the Big Apple. Nephew of the late, great [...]

The International TNG
Congrats to Money Shake of Utrecht, who carried off the $595 first prize in this month’s Tuesday Night Game after a feisty heads-up with PLAICE (UK), who won $382.50 for coming second. I regret I missed the winning hand, as my phone rang (again – it kept going at crucial stages of the tourney, which [...]

TNG VIII. One rash push too many.
On September 16th, a smaller than average field of 78 players took to the baize for the Bigger Deal Tuesday Night Game. After my solid performance in last month’s tournament, I was hoping to prove myself with another money finish this time out. Instead, I made a couple of bone-head moves late in the day [...]

TNG VII – Report from the runner-up
Those of you, and once there were many, who lived in fear of BigArm on Poker Stars will sleep easier tonight. For today I can reveal that shadowy eidolon is none other than today’s friendly-faced blogger. Whilst unlikely to beat “No, Luke…I am your father” to the top of anyone’s list of all-time great revelations, [...]

THE TUESDAY NIGHT GAME IS BACK! Sign up for Tues 19 Aug
Pulchritudinous, poker-savvy Victoria Coren will turn thirty-something (we’re too polite to ask) on Tuesday 19 August. So we have decided to celebrate her birthday in the name of our monthly tournament. As you can see from the panel at the top of our home page, VCoren is the (case-sensitive) password for the first in a [...]

THE TUESDAY GAME IS BACK !
I’m off to Vegas this weekend, and will start reporting here next week on this year’s World Series of Poker – including my own progress (or, just possibly, lack of it) in the Main Event. I’ll be playing as a ‘Friend of PokerStars’, a new category of player sponsored by the world’s biggest poker website [...]

The Tuesday Night Game VI
From the beginning let me apologise for the trans-altlantic timing problem which led to the Tuesday Night Game starting at 7pm UK time rather than the planned 8pm. Due to clocks moving forward in the USA the PStars people forgot that we in Britain were still living in winter and many people missed the chance [...]

TUESDAY NIGHT GAME VI – sign up for 18 March !
Among those who played in our February tournament was the poker correspondent of the Sunday Telegraph, David Flusfeder, whom I know to be a stylish guy as well as a classy player; he managed to get into the money in the ‘main event’ of last year’s WSOP. David is a novelist and screen-writer as well [...]
